  • Virtual IT Department:

Not all organizations want their own IT department and, if they do, they may only need some skills infrequently. Use us to supplement and complement your own skills saving money into the bargain by paying for skills only when you need them. We can implement Remote Support via virtual private networks (VPN) which provides a rapid and effective response.

  • Disaster Recovery/Avoidance:

It's best to avoid disasters and that's what we aim to do with our Disaster Avoidance service. We'll configure your systems for maximum fault-tolerance and ensure that your backup is working. We'll also provide you with a Disaster Recovery Plan, just in case, and we'll implement and operate it for you if required. Don't forget that there are a number of configuration options built into newer systems such as Windows Server 2003 so you can get some good insurance for little cost.

Data Recovery - What to do next

When you lose data it is important not to lose your head as well! First of all, remember that although the data may appear to be lost, with computer systems this very often means that it is the directions to the data that are really lost. So, what we have to do is restore the directions.

Whatever you do now may have a major impact on whether you ever see your data again. Do NOT do anything which may result in anything being written to the media such as re-install Windows or indeed any software. Even if you get messages similar to 'Media not recognised - Format Now?' your next course of action should be to contact a data recovery specialist.

If you send or bring your media to us we will provide you with a quotation to recover the data. It is a 'no fix, no fee' service so, if we can't recover any data we will only charge you for return of the media.

As an example, recovery of around 1Gb of data from a PC hard disk, recorded to CD, would typically cost around £100+VAT. Recovery of pictures from a camera storage card would typically cost around £50+VAT.

The Internet is a great business tool and has changed the way many businesses operate but it has its pitfalls. For example, the huge increase in the volume of SPAM causes many problems and not a little work we could do without. It also has the potential to be a major threat to your business.

Support Services

Getting access to support, when you need it, is important to the smooth running of your business but in some cases a more pro-active approach is advisable. For example, when you need to restore some data is not the time to find out your backup has failed to work for weeks.

We will set up monitors to flag up potential issues and then rectify them as they arise, in many cases before you even know you have them.

Result? Less stress for you as systems run more smoothly. The monitoring software runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. This means that alerts will be generated even outside normal business hours and we will be notified by e-mail immediately. We check these alerts daily and take action immediately.


Virtual IT Department

So, what's a Virtual IT Department and why would you want one? The best summary I can think of is access to all the skills you would expect of an IT Department but without the cost. Effectively, you pay for only what you use.

There are two main ways of accessing this service:

    • Monthly Retainer
    • Pay-as-you-go

The advantage of the retainer service is that you get prioritised access according to a Service Level Agreement and preferential rates for any work we do which is not covered. The Pay-as-you-go service allows you turn the service on and off at will. In neither case are you tied into any contract.

All work done by us is recorded on our call-logging system so we can track the job history. If you wish you can have access to the call-logging system to log and track your own calls. It's a web application and very easy to use.

Retaining us as your Virtual IT Department will cost from as little as £250 per month for a fully comprehensive service where we take responsibility for all technical issues. We will deal with other technology providers so you avoid annoying 'telephone-tag' while trying to get someone to accept responsibility.

Mypalray-uk provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure, project, security and support services including Disaster Recovery, Troubleshooting, Firewall, Anti-Virus/Spam, and Content Filtering.

These are delivered through individually tailored agreements or on a 'pay-per-fault' basis. In summary, if you want to outsource your IT requirements, in part or in full, we are the logical choice.
